The Young Australians’ Cancer Initiative (YACI) is a youth-led, not-for-profit organisation with a mission to empower young people to make a meaningful contribution towards realising a world free of cancer.
Since our establishment in 2015, YACI has grown from an initial team of 7 ambitious undergraduate students to a team of over 30 passionate and driven volunteers, united by a common belief in the capacity for young people to create real change in the cancer space.
Our organisation is based in Victoria, with project teams in NSW and QLD. Most of our volunteers are current medical students or junior doctors with an interest in cancer education and awareness.
YACI was previously known as the Australian Cancer & Health Sciences Competition (ACHSC). We are also an ACNC-registered charity organisation.
